A Lost Sheep Comes Home.

Hi,

.

How is your week going so far then!

Mine has been quite interesting.

.

Yesterday, I received a comment about a poem of mine which I uploaded last year, called Lost Sheep.

.

Here it is….

Lost Sheep.

.

He is a little lost sheep

Through no fault of his own

Out beyond the locked gate of the pen

Prey to the sharp teeth of isolation

Alone in an unknowing world.

Please rescue and return him

In a condition as good as new

Safe in the world of the functioning.

Surely it is not a lot to ask,

For is the lost sheep not the most important.

.

.

The comment was as follows ….. Hi! I used your poem in a piece of art on another website, if that’s ok? I credited you and linked it back to here, but if you’d rather I deleted it, that’s no problem :)

.

So I went to the site to take a look at what had been done with my poem.

And this is it.

.

.

.

It is very different this way don’t you think, with a different plaintive air about it, caused by the change of the ‘his’ to ‘her’ etc.

It was interesting to see Sian’s work and her take on it….as well as it being nice to know that my own work had spoken to her personally.

.

So, if you want to visit Sian’s site, and look at her ideas, here is the link for you to do so.

Give her some nice comments too, we all like them!

Enjoy.

      Hi Girl,
      .
The re-working was very good wasn’t it.
      .
Yes, it is nice to put it about a bit….and who knows what the future holds for all of us!
      .
I hope that your own artistic endeavours are going well too.
      Have a fine week.

we have an event every so often (we, the blogger community of ottawa) where we invite bloggers to read some of the work out loud. it’s really neat. I wonder if your neck o’the woods has some too 🙂

my artistic endeavours are moving, slowly – or quickly, depends on how one looks at it.
this weekend, in fact just on saturday, I had 2 child photo sessions *both happen to be girls*, and two food shots, one for an organic cafe and the other for a cupcake shoppe 🙂

    I’ll post and share soon!
hope all is well with you & Big H!

      Hi,
      .
      I am impressed….well done you!
      .
I don’t know if we have anything like your ‘blogger meet and read.’
To be quite honest with you I am not particularly sociable in that way really, although I will do almost anything if it is spontaneous.
      .
Promotion-wise, I am my own worst enemy, as I usually take the…. ‘if it is meant to happen it will happen’….type of approach to life.
      .
But hey, it takes all sorts.
      .
Big H is actually improving at the moment, since starting the new Growth Hormone regime, so thankfully all is well with us.
      Take care.
