A Night-Time Ramble.

Hi,

.

So here I am, up in the early hours again.

It is three o’clock in the morning and all is well.

.

Don’t ask me why but I just suddenly woke up and could not settle again.

It is no good fidgeting about and waking Big H up, so I decided to make myself some workman’s tea in my 1 pint mug, and do a bit of blogging on the computer.

.

It is very beautiful outside, with a lot of moonlight, and everything outside seems to be holding it’s breath.

No wonder cats like to stay out and roam around at nights.

.

Yesterday was quite a busy one because we had another hospital visit so that Big H could get his hormone levels checked and find out about his latest CAT scan.

Luckily everything is OK and the tumour has not changed in size  from the last time it was examined about six months ago.

That was a big relief for us, and yet another hormone is going to be added to the mix that is taken, so hopefully Big H will finally be able to have more energy and get out and about a bit more.

.

I suppose that might be the reason I could not sleep very well tonight, because you worry about everything being alright and it leaves you emotionally worn out.

.

We had a lovely evening last night because we had a family visitor to visit, which meant that I made a nice meal and we got to have a good chat and a proper catch-up together.

It was a real treat and I wish that we all lived a lot nearer to each other than we do.

I think that I drank too much wine though because I have got a bit of a hangover….I am actually old enough to know better than that, so I only have myself to blame….don’t you just hate that!

.

Tomorrow will be much quieter because Big H will be tired after all of the excitement but we may possibly manage a short walk if I am lucky.

.

On Wednesday I had a few hours out with one of my friends who drives a car.

She picked me up and we went along to a curtaining and upholstery materials factory shop that was advertising an excellent sale.

.

There were some amazing reductions to be had and she bought two different types of pure silk to make new curtains for bedrooms.

The price were totally incredible, with the silk being reduced from £30+ a metre, down to an enticing £5 a metre!!!!

I was so taken with some of it that I had to stop myself being greedy and buying it just because it was so beautiful, especially one rough raw silk that looked more like hessian but felt soft and wonderful….and some pale green…..and a really heavily embroidered opulent one.

I did however buy some sumptuous pink velvet in a most gorgeous paler shade.

.

T K Max came up trumps again too, and I found two more beautiful big feather filled tapestry cushions with elaborate fringing, to put on the living room settees.

They fit in nicely with my previous cushion purchase.

.

Big H is like most men I know and he hates cushions with a vengeance, but even he had to admit that he liked them a bit, so perhaps he will be able to restrain himself from throwing these ones onto the floor all of the time.

It drives me mad when he keeps doing that!

.

So there, that is all of my news at the moment, and it is now 4.37am. and all of the birds have started singing.

I hope that you are finding equally enjoyable small pleasures, and lots of elegant cushions, in your own life.

Have a good Friday.

J,x.
