A Quiet Sunday.
Hi,
.
What a morning we have here.
It is extremely dark and pouring with rain.
Just the sort of day to stay in and snuggle, especially if you have got a really good new film to watch, hot popcorn and some ice cold beer. Bliss.
.
Unfortunately we still do not have the television up and working, so this makes it months since we could have such a lazy veg-out day.
.
Apart from the natural history programmes I told you about earlier, I only watch X Factor every week.
I find it too much to have to watch a programme on something the size of a computer, perched precariously upon my knee.
.
It is however, very good for painting, writing and reading books, so I have been very productive in that way.
Sometimes it is just too easy to switch off and watch utter rubbish..
.
I am missing being able to go for walks whenever we fancy though, because of the continual parade of workmen, but it is all well worth it.
Not only do we get the odd impromptu strip show, but it should be a very neat and tidy Christmas, which will be lovely……and very unusual.
.
Today I am just hoping that Big H will be feeling better, and that he will want to get up and finish the little preparations that need to be done ready for the painters tomorrow, but it is no good stressing about it because that will not change anything at all.
If he is still feeling dreadful then we will just have to work around it as best we can.
It is hardly a tragedy!
.
If I do not get to do anything more immediate today, then I think I will make a draught -excluder for the living room door because there is a rotten draught coming under it at the moment.
.
I am not sure what I shall make it out of, because I recently gave all my unworn clothes to one of those charities that leaves a big bag in your letterbox for collection a few days later.
I would have used a pair of green velvet trousers..of the baggy persuasion… that I gave them, but how was I to know they would have been extremely useful now.
.
I think that the solution will be to go and cut up one of Big H’s fleeces, in some shade that will match our carpet, and use that!
I will just tell him that it did not fit him properly anymore.
Well it wouldn’t, once I chop it up, would it?
.
I wonder what you have planned for the day!
It is only a few weeks to Christmas now, so I expect that you may be planning to do a little bit of present shopping.
I shall be doing that myself soon, as I don’t like to be pressured by leaving it too late and not being totally happy with my choices, especially as we intend to be more sensible about our spending this year.
.
Do have a fine day yourself.
.
It is the results of the X Factor vote later, so I shall speak to you soon!
.
LOL,
Jx.
