A Rubbish Day Was Had By All.
Hi,
.
Sorry the post is a bit late today but we were up early for the hospital visit.
.
Big H does not look forward to the ones like today at all.
Apparently the MRI procedure is not at all enjoyable, because your head gets fixed in position and then the headpiece is fitted tight to the head, after which the horrendous clanking begins.
You are offered a pair of headphones to try and block out the noise, but they get pressed in to the ears when the box headpiece is tightened, and the music is too faint to actually make out the words.
.
I would hate to have an MRI myself because it is very claustrophobic to be inside the huge 10′ tall piece of equipment.
You are fed into a very small narrow tunnel, with only your legs sticking out, and you are totally contained in the machine.
Big H says that you have a mirror near your forehead so that you can see down your body to the outside, but it seems that a lot of people panic….luckily everyone is given a panic button which can be pressed if they need to have the machine stopped and then be brought out.
Sounds horrible!
.
Never mind, we are very lucky, here in the UK, to have access to such NHS treatments.
I just hope that I never need to have one myself!
.
You usually don’t find out the results until about two or three weeks afterwards.
.
When we finally got back home, after a little bit of forced grocery shopping, it was very irritating to find that we had a card in the front door because we had missed a parcel delivery.
Why does that always happen.
You can wait in the house for days but the moment you leave the house….it arrives.
Anyway, I got online and re-arranged the delivery for tomorrow.
It was the usual mad British style arrangement, any time between 8 and about 6.
.
So, that’s my Friday planned for me then.
Such excitement!
.
I am now going to make us a nice hot cuppa and we can have a rest, as Big H usually has a headache for the rest of the day.
I hope that your own day has been a fun one….after all, somebody out there must be getting our share of the fun today.
J,x.
