A Strange New Obsessive Disorder.

Hello yet again,

.

This morning ,when I was writing my blog about The Lost land Of The Volcano, I happened to glance out of the window and see a young woman, with a very professional camera set- up, approaching our local Spar shop.

I watched as she set up her tripod and pointed the camera at the shop.

She then began began to take photographs of what is basically a very boring subject.

.

I was then further bemused when she left the camera on one side of the rod and walked across it to capture an image of herself, standing beside the said shop.

Then back across the road to take yet more pictures of the premises.

?????

Perhaps I am witnessing the birth of a new type of trainspotter.

Someone who takes their yearly holiday in order to spend the whole period excitedly visiting every single Spar shop in the UK, and taking various picture of them all, as proof of actually having been there.

All before ticking each one off in a little notebook of course!

WOW.

NOT.

.

So long

J

This is funny read, because most of the time, I am the “weird girl with the camera” in front of a store, middle of the street, brick wall or more recently, isolated dirt roads.

Once in a while I wonder what onlookers may be thinking when they see me set up the tripod and snap away at what may seem as random and ugly things (and yes, I do a bit of “self shots” which are always skewed and stupidly angled anyway).

Maybe you’re right, she’s doing a series on the shops (like I am on barns, farmland and the like) or maybe the shop was something that -comment vous dire- “tickled her fancy”?

If you see her or someone like that the next time, I would suggest you go up and chat with them. I like it when people come up and start asking questions and giving their opinions. And in your particular case (having read a few of your entries), I think you’d make one helluva subject.

    cheers-
    nelly.
