A Sunday To Spend.
Hi,
.
Happy Sunday to you, and I hope that your weekend is progressing very nicely.
We have planned a nice meal for today which will be Aberdeen Angus fillet with potatoes, broccoli and a nice bottle of red wine which we bought for half price at Sainsburys.
So that’s all OK then!
.
It is getting really cold here now, even when the sky is blue and the sun is shining, so I am breaking out all of the winter gear and my sheepskin boots.
Unfortunately I always get a bright red nose as soon as it gets cold, so that is something that is less than cool, although it is definately very Christmassy.
.
I remember when I was young and used to go with my childhood friends to the discos.
We read in a womens’ magazine that ‘you should put this green make-up under your foundation and it stops the redness’, so two of us decided that we would do that in order to avoid the red-nose effect that winter.
.
It did cover up the red and we were very pleased with the effect.
Until we were actually enjoying ourselves at the dance.
I looked at her as we were giving it large, up on the dancefloor with some cute guys, and was shocked to see that she had a luminous green nose under the special lights that used to make white colours glow amazingly.
She looked at me….we both shrieked….and disappeared into the nearest loo in order to scream hysterically and grab each other in horror.
We were mortified, and in your teens that really matters!
.
Almost as funny as the time my best friend and I were fixed to get a lift back to her house from two handsome boys that we had fancied for ages.
We had had quite a lot to drink and were feeling mellow.
My friend said we should wait for her, while she went to re-do her make-up.
It was worth the wait.
She came back after having somehow managed to put her shockingly pink lipstick all around her eyes and apply a thick coat of her bright blue cream eyeshadow to her lips.
It was hilarious.
She didn’t get a second date with hers.
.
God, we had some fun then.
.
Enjoy your day,
J,x.
