A Tropical Heatwave!

Hi,

.

Isn’t life great!

In the words of the old song …..once delectably sung by the beautiful Marilyn….We’re having A Heatwave, A Tropical Heatwave.
.
.

It is super and unexpected and I am loving it, so long may it last.

.

Everyone here is more pleasant and happy and they have begun to lose that slightly mouldy English bloom.

Tans are now visible.

.

They may keep on saying that the sun is dangerous, but we are now making plenty of Vitamin D, along with the added benefit of people being buoyed up and probably less depressed too.

I am lucky that I tan quickly and with minimal fuss so I am quite happy to enjoy the sun, and some free Vitamin D, which is both healthy and necessary.

Besides, we all have to die of something!

So I shall eat, drink, be merry….and tanned if I get the chance!

.

Yesterday was very hot, so Big H and I went down to the local library yesterday to get some new books, before retiring round to the garden to read them.

He later on went back to the house and got me some sandwiches without crusts and cold Cava and orange for the making of Buck’s Fizz.

.

After that we eventually returned home, but as no-one could be bothered to do anything more, we eventually rang the local Chinese take-away and got two Singapore Style Chow Mein with Prawn Crackers.

.

As usual, the crows were happy to receive their side benefits of this inertia.

They went crazy earlier on this morning when they were given the remaining crackers for their breakfast.

So we are all hot and happy here.

.

I have even got the central heating switched off, and believe me, that does not happen very often.

.

So Big H should be up soon to take his medication….and fetch the Sunday paper….as he is trained to do….which will be an excellent start to the day!

Do have fun yourself.

J,x.
