All Sunday Not Touched As Yet.

Greetings to you all,

.

Oh, what a beautiful  morning, Oh what a…. etc.etc.

.

It is truly beautiful here in the North today.

.

The sky is a blazing blue framing an incandescently bright sun….and the church bells are going bonkers.

Our whole world is chiming today.

.

Although it was not a very bright afternoon yesterday, Big H and I still visited the garden and did some much needed tidying-up.

Big H cut the lawn in increments, composed of doing a few square circuits of lawn and then spending a few restful minutes reading!

It takes that bit longer, but it does not kill him!

.

I, meanwhile, enjoyed myself immensely by setting a garden fire and then burning all of the manky spare wood which Big H has insisted on saving for many years in case he suddenly needed it for something or other.

This act of wifely sacrilege was augmented with all of the nasty prickly holly tree cuttings and other assorted dry branches and cuttings and old canes.

It was an incredibly hot and absolutely roaring fire, which left me with a very red face….not at all an unusual state for me to be in!

.

I am not one for lying baking in the sun for hours so I came home as soon as I was done and had a nice cool bath to wash of the resulting stink of bonfire.

It was old-style fun, in the same class as kicking piles of autumn leaves around….and blowing bubbles.

.

As today is promising to be wonderful, I am sure that we will do something pleasurable today too, once Big H has been out for the papers and we have had our croissants and green tea.

.

Perhaps the seaside….and the top down….AND ICE CREAM.

.

What will you decide to do, now that you have a whole Sunday untouched as yet.

Whatever you choose, do have a good one!

J,x
