An Opportune Visit From A Friend.

Hi,

.

How are you today.

Feeling hungover and dreadful from your Saturday night shenanigans!

.

Serves you right!

.

I am feeling fine.

Especially when I was greeted this morning with another fine blue day with copious sunshine.

How good is that!

My Hyacinths are all survivors of the previous terrible weather, with their healthy plump shoots and promise of aural joys to come

Clever things.

.

It’s funny, because when I bought them a few years ago, their labels said to throw them away after blooming.

However, I had been so thrilled with their scent that I hopefully re-planted them in bigger pots together and hoped for the best, after all they are bulbs.

It worked beautifully and none of them died.

I think it was just another example of our throw away society.

.

They throw away everything now, even brave soldiers who get injured in their bloody wars, and come home rightfully expecting help!

.

There is something important that I forgot to tell you in all the fuss of the hospital results etc.

We had a visitor on Friday.

This is a guy we have known for about fifteen years but there has nor been regular contact since he found ‘the one’ and moved away to The Lake District in Cumbria.

.

When he found out what Big H had been told at the hospital on Wednesday, he was able to give us some heartening news.

It seems that 35 years ago an extremely sporty best friend of his sister had suddenly been struck down with bad health and no-one could give a diagnosis.

She became chronically fatigued, icy cold at times, frail and feeling various pains.

Turning from a girl who played sport for the county, to someone who suddenly looked and seemed like a ninety year old woman.

There was also osteoporosis and dry, wrinkled skin.

Basically she was either on the settee or spending days in bed.

.

No doctor had any idea, until she came to the attention of a specialist, who was determined to solve the ongoing riddle.

.

After many tests etc. he diagnosed pituitary problems.

Basically the gland was not working, so she was suffering the effects of it.

.

It took a year of trial and error for this clever guy to eventually sort out the required daily medication.

That was it!

For the past 35 years she has been in normal good health and does everything that a normal person does.

.

How good was it for him to make a sudden rare visit just when Big H had been told that the main controller of his endocrine system had stopped working.

I could have kissed him….correct that, I did kiss him!

.

Isn’t life wonderful.

Synchronicity rules, OK!

.

Have a wonderful healthy Sunday.

Jaksie, x.
