And So I Dream Of Dogs.

Hey,

Good morning to you upon this fine Sunday.

It is still grey and wet here but also still extremely warm too.

My patio plants are looking extremely green and lush.

.

Since writing my post yesterday about the terrier chewed off and ate it’s master’s big toe, I have been reminded of my own dogs.

Not that any of them ate my toe or indeed any other of my appendages!

.

It is just that it has been quite a long time now since our last dog and I am feeling the loss of a dog in our lives.

It is just that once you don’t have a dog anymore, it seems that everyone in the world has one, is walking one, is in the process of deciding about buying one, is driving one, or is thinking about having to go out in the rain and empty one.

.

Or is even thinking about making documentaries about one!

Especially now that I have become allergic to them, to the extent of losing half of my lung capacity at one point, because of it.

.

The urge to make contact is irresistible when we meet a dog or cat on our walks about the place.

What pleasant creatures they are when you make a fuss of them, and give them a good petting, especially the puppies.

.

Various people have told me that I should try a French Poodle because they do not drop hair the same way as the other breeds do, but so far I have not felt that we should risk it even if there is no hair loss, because they may still may cause the same allergic reaction and that would not be fair to the animal at all.

.

At least, as we had dogs and cats continuously for almost forty years, I have lots and lots of dog memories to look back on….and some not so good memories of them too.

.

Sometimes you just have no choice about things and you just have to go with the flow.

No matter how much you might want something.

Unless….I get a virtual dog!

Hmmmm.

.

So, I hope that you have an excellent day, full of absolutely everything that you like.

J.
