Any Room In Your Home For A Little One?

I was talking to an old lady yesterday, who was buying food and toys for a cat she was about to bring home from a local cat rescue charity.
She was so totally excited and thrilled to take a previously badly treated cat, and then begin to make a wonderful life for it, where it would never be afraid again.
Although it was a Tom, it had already been neutered by the charity, so she could just get on with building up trust and love.

There are many people who work full time, often totally unpaid, in order to try and make the world that much better for those animals who have not been kindly treated, and who are desperately in need of a new and loving home.

These sanctuaries are to be found in many different parts of the UK, and other countries, with many of them advertising the animals’ pictures,, in the hope that someone will fall in love with one of them and take them in, thus freeing a place for yet another animal in need.

Unfortunately there is a never-ending supply of lost and badly treated animals at the moment, but all they can do is try and transform life for as many such creatures as they can.

There are so many of these poor animals, but perhaps if you are thinking about buying a cat soon, you might choose to go along this route and see if there is a rescue cat waiting for you to fall in love with them and give them a kind and loving home.

There are also many health benefits for the owner of a cat.
It is known that stroking an animal helps to significantly reduce a person’a level of stress.
It is so satisfying to be greeted by a loving and affectionate pet when returning home, especially after a really pissy day, one who has been awaiting the return of it’s friend.
I hesitate to say Master or Mistress because in my experience we usually get trained to fit the pet’s requirements.

They also bring great purpose, comfort, and love, to older housebound people.
While a child gains maturity and self-esteem by caring for, and understanding, the needs of a small and responsive animal who relies on them.

Apart from that they are great fun.
