Barbies Rule.
Hey,
.
Sunday again, as if you didn’t already know!
.
Yesterday was a very pleasant day for me.
We went along to the garden and discussed cutting the lawn and weeding out the dandelions….but we did not do anything more than lie back on the lawn and drink ice cold beers and talk about what we would do if we won the lottery.
A total waste of time, as is actually entering the lottery, but it passed the afternoon in a very aimless and pleasant manner, as it was warm and hazily sunny.
And life is good anyway.
.
Oh I lie!
I did actually spend a short time trimming our holly bush which had grown frighteningly large in the past year.
It turned out to be it’s usual vicious, unhelpful, painfully prickly self, obstructive self….but what can you expect from a holly bush anyway!
That left a huge pile of horrible branches to be disposed of but I think I might just burn them because we have a lot of spare wood to get rid of too, so that means a nice garden fire soon, although we will smell really stinky afterwards.
.
Last night continued to add to the excellence of the day because Big H cooked us a wonderful barbecue meal of steak, red peppers and golden corn, and it was very tasty.
He always said that when he retired he would like to start cooking and I did not believe him, but he went out recently to buy a newer barbie that has a large cast iron griddle plate as well as cast iron bars and a side burner, plus a big warming rack and rotisserie.
It is called the Beefeater 300, made in Australia, and he loves it.
He even successfully cooked us kippers our breakfast kippers on it.
I love it too if it means that I never have to cook again!
.
Today will be the usual Sunday Papers and then the world will be our lobster depending upon the changeable weather we have had this year.
Perhaps we could have sex in a tree….but not a holly bush of course!
Have a wonderful one yourself.
Love J,x
