Bartering, Books, And Trains.
Hi,
.
It’s Thursday, so you have nearly reached the weekend.
Hopefully, this sudden bout of good weather we are all enjoying, will continue until then.
.
Yesterday, I felt inspired to sweep out the patio garden, scrub the teak table, and wash the winter muck off all of the pots, and I was happy to see everything beginning to peep through the soil again.
I also emptied out the stinky rainwater from the half dozen tea-light holders, washed them, and inserted new lights ready for a night-time barbie asap.
.
Later in the afternoon, Big H and I went out for a short walk and we both had to take off our coats because we were too warm,
Now that’s a first this year.
Most excellent!.
Summer is definitely a-comin’ in.
.
I have just been told about a bookshop near to Alnwick, which allows you to take in books when you are finished with them, and then you are told how much money they are worth so that you can get yourself some new ones off the shelves.
There is also a coffee shop with comfortable seats, so that you can take a well earned break after driving there, if you should feel so inclined.
.
It sounds like fun because apparently there are model trains running around on the tops of the bookcases whilst you are browsing amongst them.
.
I cannot wait to have a day out and go there….preferably enjoying a sunny drive with the top down and Pearl Jam on the CD.
That being one of my favourite things.
.
Don’t be jealous because I shall take some pictures so that you can get to see it for yourself.
It should be fun, and we may even have lunch somewhere along the way!
