Busy Day.
Hey,
.
Very late greetings to you.
Have you had a good day yourself?
.
My day has been extremely busy….which is nice.
A friend called unexpectedly this morning and we had a nice chat together catching up on all the gossip and discussing all of the changes in our lives since we last met.
It is nice when you meet someone after a long period apart and it is all totally comfortable and just as if you had seen each other just recently.
It is also nice when everything has gone well for someone you really care about.
.
This was followed by many hours working on the new puppet I am making.
It is immense fun, but my hands are now looking very rough and I have holes in the ends of my fingers from trying to push the needle through thick layers of felt.
It is however turning out to be a cool puppet.
.
Later on Big H and I went to Tynemouth again because he thought I should have a break before I went blind.
Unfortunately the fish and chips was way less good this time around….Shame!
.
It was warmer than the last time we were there, but only just!
Nevertheless we still went for a little walk on the beach and it was beautiful and pristine without even one footstep on it…..wonderful!
.
Tonight Big H has gone to play computers with his friend and I am just about to have a nice cold beer and some luxury salted nuts.
What a plan!
.
I have already put the electric blanket on, so soon I shall retire with a good book and wait for sleep to find me.
.
Have a fine night yourself!

hey Jackie-
i thought I’d see some election drama trickle into your post.
we’re watching the counts happen from over here .. best of luck, whichever way the vote may swing =
have a great friday morning.
nelly.
Hey Nelly,
Sorry to disappoint you, but I have decided that there is no point in listening to anything the various parties say because they are all equally mendacious and untrustworthy.
We have been faithfully promised a referendum on the EU by all of the various political parties and then they just renege on their promises.
There is great concern here because of the growing power of Brussels and the total loss of our national identity and sovereignty
To me the different parties are simply the same people with a different hat on.
Everyone feels worried about the issue of illegal immigrants here, and this has been dealt with by lying about the figures and then by suggesting that everyone who has been illegally here for ten years is just allowed to stay.
This past year has been shocking as the levels of theft and lying by members of government have been revealed. Stuff that an average person, who has much more reason to steal, would go to prison for.
Etc, Etc, Etc, Etc, Etc and Etc,
I agree with the saying that …’everyone who wants to be a politician should be disqualified on the grounds that they are not suitable.’
See ‘Ya.
From ‘disillusioned of the UK’.

well, if it makes you feel any better on the UK front – we have been dealing with the same issues here, and it’s just as bad.
Except we don’t have the EU to deal with, we have our dear neighbour that only recently stopped bullying us into stupid things like war.
immigration is too sensitive a topic; with people mistaking political correctness with utter naivete.
and finally, in voting patterns, we both seem to have followed a similar patter of un-voting someone from office as opposed to electing someone we care about.
if we had an election soon, I’m not sure I’d vote at all. It’s like going through bad lettuce for the sake of having a healthy salad – a very stupid idea of lates.
have a great weekend
Hey Nelly,
It seems we are not unique over here after all.
No wonder nobody likes snake oil salesmen….or should I say politicians !
I did not vote myself, this time around, as it is the same old same old at the moment.
However I have remembered that ‘it only takes good people to do nothing in order for evil to triumph’, so I shall still keep a weather eye on it all.
Have a fine weekend yourself, and have fun!
