For Those In Peril On The Sea.
Hi,
.
And a good morning to you.
.
Amazing how soon these Fridays come around again.
It only seems like seven days since we had the last one!
.
I expect that you have plans for the weekend that include some Christmas shopping and that’s a good idea….best to get it done.
I shall have to get on with mine next week and then I can relax.
.
Yesterday turned out to be an excellent one as it contained one of my favourite things….fish and chips at Marshall’s restaurant in Tynemouth.
It was even tastier than usual, if that is actually possible.
Perfect.
Then a quick look in The Land Of Green Ginger, a similar quick look in Raspberry bazaar, a walk on the Promenade and back to the car.
There was not a lot of time because we arrived there at about 1.30pm and the sun was setting by about 3.30pm.
.
I did not see any silver jewellery that would be suitable for presents but I did find something intriguing in Raspberry Bazaar, something that I liked myself.
It was a strange long silver metal spiral that you would hang in a window and it had a blue glass ball held inside it.
What was cool was that when the spiral turned, the glass globe moved either up or down in the spiral.
It was quite amazing and very pretty to look at.
There were different sizes from quite small right up to the one I like which must have been well more than a foot long.
.
It was an unusual and tempting thing, but Big H reminded me that it was me who liked it and it might not be what other people would like for their Xmas pressies.
Oh well, I might buy one in the future because I DO like stuff hanging in the windows.
.
I have a faceted glass drop hanging in an east facing window and it casts rainbows all over the living room on a sunny morning.
.
Last night was Big H’s night to go and play computer games with his friend, so I watched a DVD that I only saw once ages ago because Big H has always refused to watch it again.
It was called Open Water and made very cheaply by one guy.
It is brilliantly done but it scared me silly. I was glad when it finished because it was quite harrowing.
.
It is about a couple stranded at sea and most of the film is just composed of the two of them, dealing with the situation.
.
I love looking at the sea myself, but I am only comfortable having a little paddle on the edges ot it.
After watching that film I do not see myself changing my habits.
Paddling is the safest interaction with the sea!
.
We have also found a DVD of The Perfect Storm, starring George Clooney, and Big H won’t watch that again either because it is so scary to see the oceans when they are not peaceful.
I expect that you have seen that film by now but if you have been visiting an alien planet and you missed it….watch it now….brilliant!
.
Today I do not expect to be busy doing much except arranging the house again and getting it back to normal while Big H snoozes in his chair, but you never know.
The world is my lobster.
.
Oh! There I go with the fishy stuff again!
I hope that it keeps out of my dreams tonight because I have had quite enough of that to last me some time.
.
Wrap up warm now, because it’s cod ….sorry, I mean cold!
LOL
Jx.
Remember to meet me at the X Factor Final tomorrow ‘cos that’s the plaice. sorry, place to be.
I’ll be doing the conger, I mean conga if Joe wins!
.
Stop it Jaksie….or else!
.
OK then!
