From A Harry Potter Viewpoint.

Hi Folks,

.

Well, I don’t have a long time to spare today because it is MRI day at the hospital.

Whoooaaaah!

.

I got up early because I hate to be involved in a last minute rush.

Over the years I have found that even if you plan something like clockwork, it takes only a tiny spanner in the works to cock it all up.

I am nothing if not a quick learner, and you always need to be half an hour early for your appointment anyway so that they can do all of their preparations etc.

.

Hopefully all of the visualisations and healing etc. will have performed miracles, but at least we have been trying for that instead of just sitting about being passive about it all.

.

As usual lately, this is not a cheerful morning unless you like lots of grey and maximum cold and damp, but it may well improve later on.

.

Sometimes, it would be nice to forget all of this grown-up stuff, and go back in time and have nothing to worry about but getting your homework done or thinking up another believable excuse for not having done any.

Nowadays education does sound a lot different though.

.

How about going to Durham University, which is considered somewhat elite, and getting to study the world of Harry Potter.

It seems that 70 undergraduate students there, outfitted themselves in classic Harry Potter garb of cloaks and broomsticks, to go to the first lecture of what is probably the only university course module to concentrate upon JK Rowling’s iconic novels about the intrepid boy wizard who is the determined enemy of the evil Lord Voldemort.

The first lecture of this course was held in the splendid Great Hall, in order to create a real first impact.

All of the later lectures will be held in the normal classrooms.

.

You may remember that it was Durham Castle and the beautiful Durham Cathedral which were used in the first two Harry Potter films.
.

.

.

The idea of the Harry Potter module is to enable the students to explore prejudice and citizenship in our society using JK Rowling’s work as a medium for this.

.

Or they could just go to the nearest thing to that world and visit the Wizarding World Of Harry Potter.

.

Wow, that c sounds a lot more fun than the lessons I had to do….and the Latin!

.

Have an educated day!

J,x.
