Funny How Things Turn Out.

Hi,

.

Thursday once more and the week is speeding to a close now.

A good reason to cheer up!

.

Well things turned out unexpectedly yesterday.

.

I was looking forward to watching two mid-week films.

.

Like so many other people, Big H and I have been really looking forward to the latest Harry Potter offering….Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows. Part One.

The other film was Burlesque, not something I was actually expecting to be very keen on at all.

.

Well, it’s funny how things turn out, because the result was not at all what I was expecting.

.

Big H has been a great fan of Harry Potter, right from the start, and he has been very much looking forward to enjoying the latest in the series.

It is not quite the same for me, and in the past I have been inattentive to the films, to the extent of making cups of tea or using my mobile in another room while they are on, and not asking for the film to be put on hold ’til I return.

But generally it has been OK, and innovative and brilliant in parts.

.

Well, the results last night were not what I had expected.

I got extremely bored with Harry Potter quite soon, and went off to do something that interested me a lot more, as I did not want to spoil  Big H’s enjoyment.

.

Then we put Burlesque on.

.

It turned out that both of us enjoyed it a lot.

It was full of beautiful women and Christine Aguilera and Cher were brilliant….as were the two leading men.

I thoroughly, and unexpectedly, loved it!

.

Burlesque.

.

.

As for Harry Potter.

Big H was very bored in parts.

He thought that there was too much time spent with only the three heroes on screen for very long periods of time.

A very different thing from having them react with some of the UK’s most amazing character actors, as is usually the case in Hogwarts etc.

.

He thought that the whole two episodes of The Deathly Hallows should have been left as one much faster film, instead of making it into two final money-making opportunities.

.

Harry Potter. The Deathly Hallows. Part One.

.

And I thought that it was just me!

.

Anyway, an enjoyable evening was had by all.

I only had one tinnie last Sunday evening, so I was naughty and drank my remaining one mid-week….Oh shock, Oh horror, Oh naughty girl!

.

Today is a whole other ballgame and I do not have any such set plans for entertainment this evening, so perhaps we shall have to invent some of our own.

.

So, have a creative one yourself.

LOL,

J,x.
