Gagging For It.
Hello Peeps,
.
This is one for everybody who has an interest in the size of womens’ breasts.
.
It may indeed be of news of great moment to those ladies who hail from Southampton too.
.
In actual fact there is a serious side to this post as well, because it not only concerns the small breasted amongst us but also those who worry about the future of free speech, information, and opinions in this country of ours.
.
There is a new cream available, which is produced by the cosmetics firm Rodial.
This product is retailed at a not inconsiderable price of £125.
However the appeal of the item is that the manufacturers say that the cream can boost the size of a woman’s bust by up to a very desirable 8.4% .
.
Obviously this is a profitable area, because it means that women who are dissatisfied with their natural endowments can improve matters, without having to resort to enhancement by plastic surgery.
.
There is a top class cosmetic surgeon called Dalia Nield, who is dubious about the sales pitch made for the product, seeing no real evidence to support the claims made.
She then said so.
.
This is where the problem has arisen.
Rodial has been angered by this and has threatened her with legal action because she stated that in her opinion the claims made for the cream were ‘highly unlikely’.
.
Is it right for anyone to be threatened like this when they speak out.
Should these large organisations be able to gag their critics by stating that they will take legal action .
.
Does this not seem to have the worrying possibility that if it is allowed to go on then there is a distinct danger that the public will be endangered because the people who have something to say will be silenced by fear.
Can this be healthy?
.
At this moment there are people who are being sued for expressing their doubts about serious issues.
An good example would be a gentleman called Peter Wilmhurst, who is a cardiologist at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
He had expressed doubts about whether a new heart valve was properly effective, something he would seem to be well qualified to comment on, and he is suffering for it.
At the moment he is being sued by the American firm.
What was he supposed to do if he had doubts!
.
If I were undergoing treatments then I would like to hear about all of the pros and cons before I made up my mind.
Just imagine having a knee implant or something and then finding that it has developed awful problems that affect your health permanently.
Then imagine finding out that loads of people in the industry had felt that there had been a problem, but had all been afraid to speak up about it, for fear of the crippling cost of litigation.
.
There are also problems with people being afraid to make comments in case the truth is not considered to be PC nowadays.
I don’t know about you but this growing trend worries me.
