May I take this opportunity to wish you the happiest of New Years.

I hope that you find great happiness and contentment in 2010, and that at least one of your dreams comes true.

I have a somewhat nasty hangover but it cannot be blamed upon anyone but myself….it shows that I have control over my own life….however irresponsibly I exercise it.
What more could I ask .
.
Today I have a choice of things to do.
I can choose to get into a paper bag and sit in the cupboard, in the dark, until I feel better ….I can drink so many cups of coffee that I get the shakes and then carry on as if last night did not happen…. or I can be an adult and learn a lesson about not drinking to excess….as if!
.
I am not bothering to make any New Year resolutions …because I am perfect already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, there is no point really, as I do not like to be disappointed.

The snow has continued to fall all night.
This morning it is all blindingly white and the snow is extremely deep and it squeaks underfoot as you walk.
.
When I went out to feed the birds, with black pepper Kettle Crisps and Prawn Crackers, I had to clear about a foot of snow off the flat wall before I could feed them.
It is like living in the middle of a good quality Christmas card.
The only films to watch today would be A Christmas Carol, White Christmas, or It’s A Wonderful Life…with mulled wine and mince pies.

The other good thing about the day is that there is hardly anyone else in evidence, the place is quiet and practically empty.
Obviously all the people are either, somewhat daunted by the snow, or else they are cringing in their homes, totally hung over and wasted, probably wishing that they were dead!
Best place for them too!

How funny to think that some of you will be sitting in hot sunshine while you read this….amazing.

Once again, I wish you well and hope that 2010 will be all that you could wish for.
