I Have Been Here Before.
Hi,
.
Well, here it is, me writing a post at 4.30am.
I just could not sleep last night, so after lying sleepless for about an hour and a half I got up again and made myself a Warburton’s Potato Pancake and a big cuppa of Lapsang.
.
As I have read all the books we got out last time we went to the library, I was stuck for something to pass the night hours.
In desperation, I eventually dug about upstairs and found an old copy of The Carpetbaggers, written by Harold Robbins.
My goodness, what a good read it is, no wonder it was such a hit at the time.
You could do a lot worse worse than give it a try!
.
I don’t know why I was so wide-awake tonight, but I think that it is probably because I have started painting properly again, and for me it is the most exciting and satisfying thing that I could possibly do.
It uses all of you so completely and leaves no other room for anything at all, so often I cannot stop thinking about a work in progress.
.
I would have gone downstairs and got on with doing that, but at the moment there are no curtains up at the windows, so I would not feel comfortable enough to be standing painting infull public view.
So those windows will need curtains, or blinds, asap.
.
The world is getting light already and no doubt I shall have the pleasure of a vibrant morning chorus very soon….accompanied by another delicious pot of tea.
Life is full of such pleasures daily, and all for free.
.
Last night we indulged ourselves with a lovely ‘Singapore Style Chow Mein’ takeaway, with prawn crackers on the side.
We only managed to eat half of it all, so there will be the pleasure of cold leftovers for me today….I really enjoy it the next day but Big H hates it then and refuses to eat it….so all the more good stuff for me.
As I don’t like to eat the crackers with the meal on the second day, the lucky crows will soon be getting their favourite food for breakfast, and I will once again get to see them flying away with whole prawn crackers held in their beaks, and looking totally mad while doing it.
.
The forecast is for heavy rain all day today but at the moment the sky is beautiful and clear looking so perhaps the weathermen could be wrong.
It will not make any difference to our walk though, because we will still be doing it whatever happens.
At least when it is pouring we seem to have the world to ourselves.
More mud though!
But hey, life is like that.
.
Whoahhh, the streetlights have just switched off!
.
I hope you have a profitable Thursday without too much mud yourself.
.See’Ya.
J.
