It’s Decision Time….Who Is Going To Leave The Show This Week!

Hi,

.

It is Wednesday today, so we can now begin to make plans for the weekend.

.

My own plans have now changed, in so far as my planned television viewing is concerned anyway.

.

As you know, I have been going off X Factor since last year’s show and all of the vote-fixing allegations etc, and now I have decided to stop bothering to watch the UK version of it …. so it is me who will be leaving this week then!

The reason being that it is mostly just rubbish now, and the format has continued to change for the worse.

It is a definate money machine.

.

I did not expect to like any of the new judges, but I really like Gary Barlow, who I find quite dishy!

However it now seems to me to be total amateur night on everyone’s part….plus a mind-numbing volume of long-winded advertising breaks.

.

I also cannot see any of the current batch of hopefuls as anything approaching world-star status…. most of them I would expect to hear in the local Karaoke Bar.

.

This is totally not helped by the naff song choices and presentations shown, especially by Louis Walsh‘s group.

That man is like the kiss of death to previously good singers, who are then dressed like old fashioned clowns and given rubbish 80’s type songs which were not even that good at the time.

.

I cannot take any more of it.

I surrender!!!!!

.

I have been watching the American X Factor too, but for me it is too American, in that I have never heard of the guest performers and rarely enjoy them anyway.

So, I may watch it if I have no other plans, but only once I have recorded it and I can jump through all of the interminable ads, and everyone else that I do not want to watch….including all of the judges except Simon Cowell.

.

So, am I the only one finding these programmes to be past their best, or am I now out-of-step with all of you other people out there in Couch Potato Land.

.

I leave you now.

From Thoroughly Disgruntled of the North!
