Keep Your Hair On.

Hello,

.

So here we all are at the start of the weekend.

I don’t know what mine will hold but we have woken to blue sky and white puffed clouds, so that is a more promising beginning than has been usual this week.

.

Last night we chilled out with movies, beer and treats and big bowls of popcorn….well, if it works for you, why change it!

.

This morning I am beginning to take a new supplement.

Hopefully it will prevent my somewhat challenged hair from getting any thinner, and generally stop any more of it from falling out with dreadful abandon.

.

If you remember, I started taking a supplement called Pil Food some months ago, because it had been recommended by someone with the same sort of problem as mine.

I have faithfully taken it for three months but I cannot honestly say that it has worked for me.

Sometimes I still find myself artfully arranging my hair with the help of a mirror, as if I have a bloody comb-over.

.

The new supplement, that I am beginning today is called Florisene, and it is supposed to maximise hair growth.

Big H found it on the web and it seems to have very positive write-ups and customer reports.

These are big hard red tablets that need to be swallowed with water on an empty stomach and they seem to contain a lot of iron.

A lot harder to fit into the day than the Pil Food, which you just swallowed after meals.

.

I only got one £10 packet, just to see what happens with regard to the iron, because I have found in the past that iron can cause constipation…. as far as I am concerned anyway.

The instructions say that you need to take the tablets for at least six months in order to see a change, and then continue with a permanent maintenance dose, in order to maintain the improvement.

But we shall see.

.

There must be a lot of money to be made from people who are having hair problems.

A very rich vein to mine!

My dad went bald in his early twenties so my problem may be some unfortunate female form of that.

.

I always remember my mum commenting that it was like some kind of confidence trick, the way she married a guy with a beautiful head of thick wavy dark hair and then a year later she had a husband with only a fringe of hair around the sides.

Unfortunately for her, in those far-away days there was no fashion for a sexy totally shaved head the way that there is now.

.

Except for Yul Brynner of course, but he was a ‘Film Star’ and not a ‘Real Person’.

.

So, I shall away now and have myself some brekkie, as it  is an hour since I took my first new tablet.

God, I am now ravenous.

I think I shall indulge in a huge fat slice of brown granary toast, with butter and Marmite, and a huge mug of green tea.

Mmmmm…mmmmmm.

.

Do have a hairy day yourself,

J,x.

.

PS, we had to stop getting that very more-ish Doorstep Loaf eventually, because we were both putting on weight from eating too much of it.

Big H put on an unwanted 5lbs!
