Let’s Not Go To Bed.

Hi,

.

I am sad to have to tell you that we are now as bad as New York, when it comes to bed bugs.

.

I have written about this spreading plague in the recent past….and it is getting much much worse now.

.

This has been highlighted by media reports which allege that there was a recent out-of-court settlement between two sisters and the Airways Hotel in Pimlico, London.

.

The two sisters spent the night at the hotel and then needed to be taken off to Queen Mary’s Hospital in Bexley, SE London, because they were both feeling nauseous and suffering from swelling caused by bed bug bites.
.

Poor Melanie Carmen, in her forties, was reportedly covered in 80+ bites, and her perhaps ‘slightly less tasty’ sister Joy McDonagh with 30+ bites

.

The unfortunate ladies then found that they needed continued medical treatment when they returned home because they suffered with severe aching, symptoms which resembled having ‘flu, and areas of continued itching.

.

Just for interest, there are thoughts that the blood of people who eat garlic, smoke regularly or drink frequently is less appetizing to the obviously very ‘gourmet’ little creatures….after all, they said to be prepared to wait for up to twelve months for their next meal to come along!

.

The hotel is allegedly said to have had bad reviews previously but to have said that they are not the only hotel with the bug problem.

Unfortunately they are not.

.

I only know that I would have to have a good reason to stay in a hotel anywhere now because I don’t think I could sleep at all, as we know that bed bugs are  a big problem even in the most up-market and luxurious establishments.

Even on the planes you may take to get there.

Those ugly bugs don’t car whether your blood is blue or not….they just want it.

Urghhhhhh!

.

Have an itch-free one.

Jaksie.
