Liu Bolin. The Invisible Man.

Hi,
.
Something very different and much more sensible for you today.
.
Have you seen the work by the artist Liu Bolin.
He is Chinese.
He is also known as the ‘invisible man’.
.
This is because he is a performance artist whose work is mainly to be painted into his surroundings by his two assistants, so that you cannot see him anymore.
.
His art is meant to represent the disappearing humanity in society.
.
The artist has become very famous and his work has been shown in many countries and has proved very popular
.

The next video shows some of Liu Bolin’s work.
At first the pictures look like empty places but when you examine them closely you can see the artist like a ghost in the scenery.
.
The works can take as many as ten hours to complete before photographs are taken and the artist must remain very still during the process.
.

.
.
This is a bronze statue of Obama the US President.
The artist wanted to express how hot Obama was at that time.
The price was $15,000….the statue, not Obama!
.
The Burning Man Obama.

.
That is all very different isn’t it.
What do you think!
