Looking For Eric Cantona.

Nearly the weekend now, not far to go.
Have faith, you can get there!

The weather was good yesterday, being clear and coldly sunny.
We decided to make a quick trip to Tynemouth for a meal of fish, chips, and mushy peas, followed by a walk down by the sea.
My goodness it was wild and white on the seafront, with huge waves crashing against the seawall and coming over the top of it periodically.
There were absolutely none of the usual surfers risking it yesterday!

We had actually put the top down to get there yesterday, but we were unfortunate enough to get caught up in a 45 minute traffic jam due to a huge stretch of roadworks, which had a lot of frustrated drivers banging on their horns.
We therefore ended up being a bit chilled and were very happy to actually arrive at our destination and tuck in to a pot of tea for two with lemon.

We then spent the evening watching a marvellous film.
It was recorded last week from the television, and I was keeping it just in case, because it had Eric Cantona in it and I really like him, (the answer to the big question is a total ‘Yes’ )

It is called ‘Looking For Eric’.
I was not really expecting it to be so brilliant…. but it absolutely was.
Sort of like ‘The Full Monty’ only different, and the ending is just superb.
I actually went to bed smiling because of it.

It even has a few football clips in it, but they were just right to have in the story as it unfolded.
You should definately see it if you have not already done so.
Happily, it turned out to be a totally enjoyable day altogether!
