Mary Bale Dumps A Cat In A Wheelie Bin

Hi,

.

I was just reading this morning about a lady named Mary Bale.

For some reason, when she was stroking a cat in a Coventry street, she decided to lift it up and stick it into a nearby wheelie bin.

.

It was not found until 15 hours later, when it’s desperate cries were heard, and it was finally rescued.

.

On CCTV she was clearly seen to do this.

.

.
There was then a great deal of anger towards her from the general public.
.
It is said that her job with the Bank of Scotland may become untenable because of it.
She may also be prosecuted by the RSPCA.

.

‘A popular joke online, is that these days there is probably also the possibility of her being prosecuted for disposing of the cat in the wrong waste container.’
.
In an interview later she said it was a joke….and it was only a cat!
.
In a later statement she said that she was profoundly sorry.
.

.
Not to mention the spoof  ‘Revenge Of The Cat’

.

People do strange things when they think no-one is looking, but these days you can be watched anywhere and anytime because the equipment is so cheap and readily available.

Behave yourself!

J,x.

.

Update on this.

i have to wonder what will become of our supposedly natural moral compass. if we scare people off by saying we’ve got evidence of wrongdoing, I’m afraid we won’t be able to feel right from wrong. it would then become “watched” and “unwatched”.
the whole thing with the cat was just strange.

      Hi,
      .
Although the idea of ‘Big Brother’ is an uncomfortable one, and could well be said to impinge upon peoples’ privacy, I think that it is the future now no matter what we think.
I am hoping that the fact that people could be watched at any time, in any public place, may make them behave themselves if for no reason other than that.
As for a personal moral compass, some people just do not care about right and wrong and it has always been so historically, other people behave properly, considerately and lawfully whether they are watched or not.
Hopefully CCTV makes the streets safer for law-abiding people….and cats!

PS….the woman’s actions towards the cat are beyond me also!
