Nick McKaig Rocks The Simpsons.

Hey,

 

Today I want to tell you about someone who is a totally talented singer and musician.

This guy is awesome, and should be heard.

.

He is 23 and left the University of Southern California recently.

He studied music.

.

There is proving to be a lot of interest in his uploads on YouTube, especially his wonderful a cappella version of The Simpsons, which uses 30 versions of his own voice.

It is all 100% him!

.

The Simpsons caught my interest, but his other stuff shows that he is an excellent singer.

Oh-Oh …. Here We Go Again!

Hi,

We have lots of UFO activity this year.

The sightings just keep on coming.

This is one of the latest.
The strange light was spotted over London, and uploaded it on 6th Feb.

.

Unfortunately, although stimulating interest in viewers, there is great scepticism because of the lack of detail and the fact of there being no proper frame of reference for size, distance, height etc. etc.

.

.

The person who uploaded the film said that the strange light was over the Thames estuary.

He said it was a short clip because of where he parked to film it, before having to quickly move along again.

.

In the past he had seen strange things in the sky and had since tried to always have his cine camera at hand just in case.

He thinks that we should all watch the sky much more often than we do

.

Yeah, but we might all frighten ourselves then!!

.

Live TV: American Anchorwoman Bitten In Face By Rescued Dog.

A few weeks ago Big H and I went out for one of our walks.

We met a loose dog and his owner, a pair we had met a few times before, since the man’s previous dog had died and he had chosen a lovely little replacement puppy.

.

We talked for a few moments and I was stroking the dog and speaking to him as usual.

Suddenly he changed, and really growled and got aggressive with us, with no reason or warning.

The man said “Oh he does not mean it, he just gets like that sometimes”.

.

Hmmm, sod that, that is one dog which I shall avoid in the future!!

.

 

Unfortunately, you really do need to be careful with other peoples’ dogs nowadays.

The most recent incident took place in Denver Colorado, and was live on air.

.

According to reports, appalled audiences saw an American TV interviewer, Ms Kyle Dyer, being bitten in the face by a Mastiff called Max, during a studio interview.

.

The programme was meant to be a lighthearted item where a brave firefighter was to be re-introduced to the dog, which he had recently saved from drowning after it had chased a coyote over an icy river and fallen in.

.

Everything seemed to be going well too.

Ms Dyer was operated on later in the to deak with the resulting facial injuries she recieved.

.

It was also discovered that ‘Warrior Maximus’ had not had his Rabies shots either.

It will be some weeks before the unlucky lady will resume her television work.
Hopefully all will be well with her now.

Is This Actually The Monster- On Film!

Hey,

This is the week for my ‘Mysteries And Wonderments’ section.

.

First the UFO‘s and now the fabled monster ‘Lagarfijotsormurinn’, who is believed to have lived in the freshwater glacially-fed Lake Egilsstoir in the east of Iceland, since he was first reported as being seen in the 1300’s.

.

Although he is known by many as a monster worm, he is supposedly more like the Loch Ness Monster in appearance, having a hump and a long neck and even whiskers.

.

This film of the ‘monster’ was taken about a week ago, in the cold waters of a glacial Icelandic river.

.

Obviously it has aroused a phenomenal amount of interest and much argument, one expert stating that it is a hoax because it is too’worm shaped’ and moves incorrectly  as it swims underwater

.

.

So, what is your opinion then!

‘Full Service’. Secret Hollywood Sex Lives.

I don’t know what style of book you enjoy reading but most of us like the odd bit of insider knowledge about the sex lives of the stars.

Especially those incredible idols of the 1940’s, where all of their secrets were assiduously protected by the Hollywood publicity machine.

Stars like Cary Grant and Rock Hudson, to name a couple.

.

A new book is soon to be released by Grove press Publishers …. on February 14th to be exact.

Not an ideal Valentine’s Day present I suppose!

.

This book has been written by a man called Scotty Bowers, who is almost 90 now.

.

He left the Navy after the war, and returned to America to take up a job in a gas station which was situated near to the famous paramount Studio lot in Hollywood.

.

While working there he met many big stars of the day.

This is said to have resulted in him becoming a prostitute who serviced people such as Spencer Tracey, Vivien Leigh and both the Duke and the Duchess of Windsor …. the Windsors allegedly being entertained together in a ‘threesome’ with Scotty!

.

Reportedly, he also arranged female entertainment for Katherine Hepburn, as well as finding female company for ‘straight’ leading men.

.

Although bi-sexual, Scotty seemingly prefers women.

.

This state of affairs is reported to have continued until the eighties brought us the horror of Aids, at which point the game became far to dangerous to continue.

.

The book is entitled …. Full Service: My Adventures In Hollywood And The Secret Lives Of The Stars.

.

Well, I intend to read it, having been regularly taken to the local cinema by my mum, when I was a small child, in order for her to enjoy all of her favourite dream men up there before her on the silver screen.

She never liked Spencer Tracey though, and no-one ever topped the excellent John Wayne in her adoring eyes.

.

Will You Want Ice With That!

Now, as you  know, I am not usually very complimentary about China, but today it makes a nice change to write about something pleasant.

Pretty things are happening again in Northern China, on the edge of Beijing.

.

It is the end of the traditional Lunar Festival and it is being celebrated by the creation of something wonderful.

.

The Yangquing Ice festival is attracting many thrilled visitors who are awed by a cityscape of ice, which is filled with glowing coloured lights contained inside the ice, and which also reflects the twinkling lights hung above the scene.

.

Enthusiastic visitors can walk around, on, and through the display by using the ice tunnels cut through the glowing ‘buildings’.

.

.

There are apparently fireworks too, cleverly created by casting molten iron against the frozen ice walls.

.

.

Beijing Annual Ice Festival.

.

The Ice Festival will magnificently usher in The Year Of the Dragon.

.

Now that is something worth seeing.

Acid Attack Victim Has Her Sight Restored.

Just a bit more about the arduous journey of healing which brave Katie Piper is undergoing since being the unfortunate victim of an awful acid attack in 2008.

.

She is now 29 and has many sessions of facial reconstruction and other procedures to get through.

But things have been gradually improving and she is looking great.

.

Unfortunately there was damage to her eyes and she was left partially blinded in her left eye.

.

The good news is that she has recently been the recipient of an amazing stem-cell procedure which has gradually restored her sight as the weeks have passed since the surgery.

The surgeons at the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead, West Sussex were able to use donated cornea eye tissue, once the cells from it had been encouraged to grow.

The cells were inserted into the damaged eye, before the area was covered with amniotic membrane, which was donated by women who had undergone Cesarean births.

.

The eye tissue used, was  sourced from a male donor who has not been named, but who has provided the means for a miracle of healing to take place.

.

It is fascinating to know that such amazing things can be done for those who need it.

There is a programme about Katie and her operation, which can be viewed on Channel 4, next Tuesday at 9pm.

.

I shall put my recorder on to make sure that I don’t forget to watch something so miraculous.

It is wonderful for Katie.  and good luck to her in the future.

As you know, I do like to bring you different sorts of things, but there is really not much that is truly new in this world of ours.

.

Some time ago I showed you the woman who has trained her waist to be incredibly tiny.

.

Now there is great interest in another woman who has a 20″ natural waistline.
She is apparently an east European who is now married to a German husband,
She is called Ioana Spangenberg.
Her vital statistics are, age 30, weight 6 stones, and height 5’6″.

.

This is footage of her, taken when she is wearing a tight corset.

Now, doesn’t that just take your breath away!

Something A Bit Different.

Hey,

Today is a cold one.

I was up very early again this morning, to be greeted by frigid air and icy white roofs once more.

.

The forecast is that the weekend will be -10, and with inches of snow to boot…. but we will have to see!

.

Obviously a good time to enjoy snuggling in front of roaring fires and sipping generous amounts of whiskey.

Yum!

.

But, talking about the attraction of fires, there is always a chance to go somewhere in the British Isles and see something very different from the usual.
.
Such as the ‘Up Helly Aa Festival’ on the Shetland Isles, which takes place in Lerwick every year, on the last Tuesday of January

.

It looks super, and celebrates the history of the isles when the Norsemen ruled both Shetland and Orkney until the mid 1400’s.

.

The celebration is celebrated by the arrival of a typical Viking Longboat, which is crewed by a costumed Jarl Squad crew, wearing helmets and sheepskins.
Many other men called guizers are also there, also in similar costume.

.

There is a noisy parade of people carrying lighted torches before the longboat is set on fire in the town.

.

The fun continues up until the early morning.
