Poem: A Chip Off The Old Block.

A Chip Off The Old Block.

.

I really, really do love chips

They are my favourite food,

They make me feel much better

When I’m in a horrid mood.

.

Chip sarnies, chip butties

And fish and chip teas,

Just cook me some chips

If you’re trying to please.

.

My Father loves chips

He can eat more than me.

If Mum wants her own way

She cooks them for tea.

.

There’s chips with tomatoes

And chips, egg and ham

I don’t think he’d think twice

About chips and jam.

.

My Grandad still loves chips

But he likes them cold,

He likes them for breakfast

Or so I’ve been told.

.

When I have a birthday

They’re my party tea,

A chip off the old block

Like Father, that’s me.

.
