Road Rage On Camera.

Hello,
.

.
Does it enrage you when you are held up by cyclists when you are driving your car.

.

Do you feel angry when a cyclist takes up the space of a car.

.

Do you feel that road tax should be paid by cyclists.

.

Have you been walking on a bridle path, minding your own business, when a huge cyclist suddenly thunders past you just inches away without even an attempt to warn you that he is coming up behind you.

.

Have you ever thought that wearing headphones while on a bike is a bit dangerous.

.

How much damage could be caused by a bike hitting you at 20-30 miles per hour….are they insured for such damage!

Etc, etc, etc.

.

Well, as you know, many cyclists are forced off the road by aggressive drivers, and have taken to wearing cameras on their helmets.

.

On January 26th this year, an incident took place in Longsight, Manchester, which was recorded.
The driver of a black BMW Five Series stopped and attacked a cyclist, and was filmed doing so on the cyclists head cam.
.
The unlucky cyclist was on his cycle, doing about 25 mph and a car was being driven a few inches from his handlebars.
This cyclist, a researcher at Manchester University called Neil Chatterjee, 35, then knocked on the car window to ask the driver to move away from him.
The driver is then said to have come closer and pushed the cyclist into railings beside the road.
.
Apparently the attack then happened, when the driver of the BMW suddenly stopped his car and grabbed the cyclist.
.
He stopped the attack, and left, when told that he was being filmed
.
Police are now trying to identify the driver.
His description, according to the police, is as follows,
White.
Medium build.
5’8″ to 5’10” in height.
About 50 years old.

.

.
Sadly, road rage is becoming more common now.
