Sandcastles Rock.
Hi Peeps,
.
Something really serious and architectural for you today.
What satisfaction there is to be found in putting up a beautiful building that becomes a well admired landmark for others to admire.
.
Of course sometimes you cannot actually live in them!
.
Ed Jarret hails from Connecticut in the USA.
Recently he was certified as officially breaking his own previous Guinness World Record for building the tallest sandcastle.
.
He held the record in 2003, when he created an edifice of 29′, and in 2007 he surpassed that with a new 31’6″ castle.
.
The newest record breaker needed many volunteers and used a huge volume of sand and water.
.
When it was just finished it reached a superior height of almost 38′ and 1″.
When certified it was slightly reduced to a still amazing 37′ 10″ height.
.
Not only is it tall but it is also very pretty too.
.
This is the industrious Mr. Jarret’s final world beating attempt….in time lapse.
.
.
Time lapse construction of another sandcastle which was built a few years ago on Myrtle Beach, which took about one week..
.
.
This is the 2010 US Open Sandcastle Competition at Imperial Beach, California.
.
.
How lovely to see so many people spending their time profitably and having serious fun!
.
I love sandcastles I do.
