Say ‘No’ To Sagging Jowls.
Hi,
.
It’s another cold and grey day here again…surprise surprise.
Hopefully some of you are lounging about in warming sunshine admiring cloudless blue skies and smelling blooming flowers….it’s filthy work but someone has to do it.
.
I should be doing my Yoga this morning before writing my blog, but I am still very stiff today and the house is not very warm yet, so I have decided to have my brekkie now too and then do the exercise later on in the hopefully warmer part of the day.
.
But I am not slacking or trying to wiggle out of it, trust me on this.
I can actually report that, even though it is only nine days , I can actually see a difference already.
.
Everything is pulling in again and I feel so much more energetic and limber because of it.
Having said that, the best effect is on my face.
I had developed a bit of a baggy neck and the beginning of jowls because of all the inactivity.
I added ‘The Lion’ to my string of exercises and the results are already noticeable because the contour of the bottom of my face is now a smoother line again and in profile you can see that my neck is already pulling back up again.
.
The Lion’s effects are…. to improve the look of the complexion and improve the circulation….stop the skin sagging and prevent the formation of wrinkles….plus strengthening and firming-up the muscles of the whole of the neck and face.
.
Lion.
This is an exercise that should be done from 3 to 5 repetitions.
In the extreme position you should count out anywhere from 30 to 60 seconds.
First….you sit cross-legged or in a lotus position, with the hands resting on the knees.
Next….You spread your fingers wide apart….slightly lean forwards….widen your eyes….then stick your tongue out and down with force….and hold it there for up to 60 seconds.
You have to extend your tongue out as far as you can, and do it with force, if you want to attain the full benefits of it.
After the count is up, you very slowly withdraw the tongue…. and relax your eyes and your fingers.
Then you repeat it again until you have done your 3 to 5 repetitions of the exercise.
.
And yes, if someone actually sees you, they do laugh!
.
Yoga is a wonderful thing and it does not cost you anything except regular application.
It actually seems to turn back time in my opinion, and it is never too late to start taking the responsibility for your health, and appearance, into your own hands.
However it is like anything else, and is not meant as a substitute for proper medical treatments.
Anyone who is ill, or who has a history of serious heath issues or illness, should always go and pay a visit to their doctor and discuss their wish to start doing Yoga….the doctor will then consider it’s suitability etc.
.
All I can say, is that I feel so much better mentally and physically when I do it….and it is having a much better effect on my face than just using creams while not actually doing anything else to improve matters.
.
Of course it has been easier for me, than for someone who has never done any Yoga before, because I only stopped some months ago.
In the beginning it can be hard to bend very far etc, and you should never strain, but it is amazing how gentle repetitions can quickly make such a difference to what you can actually do.
I had not bothered doing the Lion exercise before, but I shall certainly not stop doing it in the future, even if it did make my tongue ache in the beginning.
.
It’s a kind of magic!
