So Far, The Beansprouts Wuz Innocent!

.

Good morning…. from a cloudy, but warm, region of the UK.

.

Everything here seems relatively calm and under control at the moment, apart from the usual underhanded dealings of suspect government officials, scandals in nursing homes, underfunded and totally inept immigration policies and the indulgence towards criminals instead of proper concern for their victims.

But, apart from that, all is perfection in our green and pleasant land!

.

There is however, continuing panic in Germany about the outbreak of mutant E-Coli.

.

It seems so far, that the accusations that it was beansprouts that were guilty of starting the present epidemic, were wrong.

.

German officials stated that there was E-Coli both on and ‘in’ the beansprouts, and that deliveries of them had been made to the restaurants at the epicentre of the problem just before the customers began falling  ill.

The sprouts were sent from a farm to the south of Hamburg.

.

However the officials may have been too quick off the mark because the results of the tests which were made, seem to have resulted in the criminal beansprouts being given the ‘all-clear’, at least for the moment.

.

This seems to be the second time that certain vegetables have been too hastily accused.

.

In the beginning of the scare it was cucumbers and tomatoes which were given the blame – these were vegetables that originated in Spain.

Apparently they wuz wrong then too.

.

At the moment all the previously mentioned vegetables, plus the beansprouts and other sprouted plants, are still being kept under suspicion while the search continues for the culprit.

.

The farm mentioned earlier is still reported as being closed down while rigorous tests continue to be carried out.

.

The situation is also causing concern in Germany because there is now a shortage of available beds for new victims of the bug.

.

Have a healthy one yourself.
