I know that this is a puzzle that lots of you, especially you Americans, want to know the answer to.

Indeed, it may actually be one of the great questions of our time!

It is not something that you would ever expect to find the answer to, but if you really want to know, then Jeremiah Warren can help you.

Jeremiah is a nineteen year old young man from Texas who had the idea to purchase a 2.6″ camcorder and then attach it to a firework ‘rocket’ and light the touchpaper.
.
The result of the experiment is a two minute clip of film which is now uploaded onto YouTube.
It is in high definition and records even after the aerial display is over and the rocket comes back to earth again.

Not bad for £120 dollars!

There is actually one more American ’4th July related thing’ which happened at a firing range in the Bronx.
.
Reportedly, the NYPD had confiscated about 5,000 lbs of illegal fireworks during a crackdown which they had been carrying out.
The items were then destroyed by the Bomb Squad in a controlled detonation at 11.05 am on July 1st.

What a shame they did not do it at night….perhaps on the 4th July….what a waste!

fireworks are great .. when done properly.
we just had Canada Day (july 1st). so fireworks were in abundance, everywhere, as Wills + Kate can tell you
we had a postal strike for the past 3 weeks or so.. nothing’s left the country. Unfortunately that means your package has only now been scheduled to leave the country. I’m told it’ll take 4 weeks or so

We are all enjoying the frequent bouts of sunshine here, and feel that it is a real treat to have them.
There is a lot of striking going on here too, what with teachers and council employees etc, but everything else is relatively smooth sailing generally.

– it seems we get sunshine and happiness monday to thursday, and rain and thunderstorms from friday till sunday. It would be funny, if it had been happening to someone else.
