Spring Is Nearly Sprung.

Hi,

.

Well, here I am up again at an unfeasibly early hour.

.

So how is your week proceeding.

.

Mine is going OK, although we are back to leaden grey skies and extremely cold weather up here in the North.

Roll on summer says I.

.

We have not done very much lately due to Big H’s lack of energy and the fact that he has somehow managed to corner the market in bad backs!

It is getting quite boring listening to him grunting with pain every time he moves.

But having said that….sooner him than me!

Perhaps we should be thinking of Zimmer frames!

.

As I have been in the house so much lately, I have suddenly taken a good clear look at it and have quickly realised that our dining room is looking decidedly shabby, and in dire need of a jolly good bit of refurbishment.

The only problem lies in deciding what to do with it…and I fancy something a bit more opulent than the plain creamy-yellow painted walls that we have at present.

.

What about leopardskin wallpaper….what do you think of that!

.

I actually saw some very expensive flock-type wallpaper in a designer shop in Tynemouth, and quite liked that.

It was a more modern version of the old fashioned heavily flocked red wallpaper from the sixties….or perhaps I have just been out eating out in many stereotypical Indian restaurants lately.

But whatever I finally decide on, it would be nice to have something really dramatic….something that would look totally Gothic by candlelight.

.

I foresee a great deal of enjoyable thinking, and subsequent discussion, on this subject in the near future.

So Big H is going to really hate it!

.

I have just realised that summer must be coming after all, ‘cos I am obviously spring cleaning!!

.

Anyway, the weekend is nigh, so we can all look forward to a few indulgent days even if the weather continues to be atrocious…..and luckily I have a fine supply of good library books….and whiskey….and Cadbury’s mini-eggs (well I cannot be good all of the time ).

.

Do have a fine one yourself….it would be rude not to!

J.
