Starting The Week In Profit.

Hello People,

.

Not a bad way to start the week, I am now £5 in profit!

Well, let’s face it, Monday’s are not usually anyone’s favourite day of the week, so anything that can improve a Monday is a welcome thingy.

.

I do not have any plans for today, as has been the case lately, because poor old Big H does not seem to be doing so well at the moment.

What good would it do to plan ahead and then be disappointed, better just to wait and see what the day brings….and be spontaneous if the opportunity presents itself!

.

I have had to think about two birthday that will be occurring soonish, and decide upon suitable presents.

One present is for someone who likes to cook, so I went through quite a few promising ideas.

One thing that I found was a book called ‘The Flavour Thesaurus’ written by  a lady called Niki Segnit.

She has very inventively produced a book which suggests what flavours combine together in a union to beguile the senses and ravish the tastebuds.

.

Her ideas include using anchovy with roast lamb or serving specific chocolate such as Bitter Valrhona African along with the cheeseboard, or making a fresh and bright sauce by liquidising soured cream and watercress.

.

I was really tempted to go for the book as my present choice but I changed my mind at the last minute because I do not really like cooking myself and therefore I don’t really trust my judgement 100% in that particular area.

.

Now, of course, I am having second thoughts, but life for me is always like that.

I can get awfully obsessive.

.

So, do have a fine Monday yourself.

Remember that Tuesday beckons!
