Summer Is Back Again Today!

Whoah, what an amazing morning we have here today.
The sun is blazing down from a bright blue sky and the birds are vociferous in the extreme.
.
I was up really early again today and the first thing that I did was to go out and feed the impatient things..
They were given one of their two favourites today because we had an unexpectedly busy afternoon yesterday and Big H did not get around to marinading his lemon chicken properly so the special rotisserie test had to be postponed until today instead.
As a result we took the easy option and got ourselves a Chinese takeaway at about eight o’clock.
As usual, we could not eat all of the Prawn Crackers, so the birds were the happy beneficiaries.

I don’t know what else we will do today once Big H gets up, but it looks like a wonderful opportunity to go for a tool around with the top down.
Luckily it is so beautiful up here that we are always spoilt for choice as to places to go to for a few hours out.
I always try to get us to go to a place that has antique shops at the end of the journey but I think that Big H is aware of my wiles by now and realises the dangers inherent in that course of action.

When we went to Alston the last time, I got that wash set I told you about.
It was put on the bedroom window, full of big lilies, when we had our visitors on the Bank Holiday, and it all looked beautiful….and smelt great too.
Even Big H had to admit that he was pleased I found it….and that he paid for it!

I do like Saturdays, and everyone seems to be so much more cheerful then too, because they are usually free for the weekend.
