Superwoman, Aged 71, Foils Robbers In Northampton.

Today we shall have another story, which is unbelievable but true.
.
It is early February in the year 2011,
There is a shop called Michael James Jewellers, which is in Northampton town centre.
.
There is a 71 year old lady called Ann Timson who lives on the Spring Boroughs Estate in Northampton.
.
Reportedly, she works as a Warden to help those who are old or disabled and may need her help.
She is fit but does have a problem with her legs which are somewhat arthritic.
.
When she was out in the town centre she suddenly heard a very loud revving noise.
As she glanced across the street she thought she saw a boy being beaten up by three others, as she could see their arms going up.
.
She then ran across the road to try and help, while calling out for them to leave the boy alone.
.
When she reached them she could then clearly see that they were a gang who were smashing the glass in the jewellers windows in the process of committing a robbery.
.
She instantly began to crack them over the heads with her trusty handbag, while the boys on bikes were still revving up for a quick escape.
.
When the would-be robbers had had enough and tried to flee on the bikes, she began to hit a robber on the head until he fell off, even though he was threatening her with a hammer at the time.
While all of this was happening Mrs Timson was calling out for the other people around her to come and render assistance.
.
Later, she was surprised that the many onlookers had just stood around, watching and filming the incident happening, while doing nothing to stop it happening.
.
It later turned out that this amazing lady had already spent a decade helping fight the crime, prostitution and other problems which had been rife on the estate where she lives.
.
She helped change an estate where people smoked crack in the hallways and hundreds of prostitutes operated, into a place where people could enjoy a decent lifestyle.
.
Older people can be amazing!
.
Because of her valiant actions four men were charged and will appear before Northampton magistrates.
.
.
Talk about useless venal MP’s and Bankers getting undeserved bonuses- what about giving this unusual lady a bloody big reward!

This amazing lady makes me even more proud to be a Northamptonian!! Or as we’d say round here… Good on ya gal, you goo get em!!
