Taiji Cove. The Silence Of The Dolphins.

Hi,

.

Heartbreaking stuff again, with regard to Taiji Cove in Japan.

.

When the brutal and secret killing of dolphins was filmed undercover and released in the shocking film The Cove, the reaction of the Japanese government was to deny everything and say that the slaughter was humanely done and was to provide food.

.

Fishermen, who did the killing, also protested that it was always carried out humanely and quickly.

.

After The Cove film was released, there was worldwide anger and fierce protests, about the actions of the Japanese.

.

After that, watches have been kept, to try and monitor what was happening to the helpless animals this year

Unfortunately, the actual killings were being done underneath a tarpaulin, so that the actual act was concealed.

.

The watchers found it horrendous, with dolphins herded up against sharp rocks.

They were caught and then hauled out of sight under the concealing tarp.

.

Eventually though, through determined patience, it was finally possible to film the killing because the tarpaulin fell while it was happening.

,

A ‘Save The Dolphins’ activist called Leah Lemieux* managed to take good film of what was going on.

The fishermen were seen to stick spikes into the backs of the threshing creatures before ramming in wooden plugs, to stop the excessive bleeding that turns the sea bright red.

They then tied the dolphins and drowned them by holding them under the water

They do not die quickly.

The terrified cries of the dolphins who were being slaughtered, were clearly heard by the anguished watchers up on the hill.
.
The film thatwas taken, be aware it will break your heart.
.

.

.

An Australian also witnessed a net-full of about 40 striped dolphins which had been dragged up onto the beach by their tails and then stabbed to death inside a temporary tent.

.

The Japanese Government once again quite unmoved by the resulting worldwide shock and condemnation.

In fact the Mayor of Taiji was reported as having given a press statement in which he said he was proud of the hunt and the town does not care about the criticism of foreigners.

.

What we need is more of those jellyfish!

.

Myself, I think ‘Fair enough then, but I would not touch a Japanese car or anything else if you paid me. As far as I am concerned they can all get royally stuffed!’.

I think that people worldwide should demand harsh sanctions against with these people.

Let’s see who does not care about world opinion then!

.

But, to be fair, some Japanese people have actually protested about it too!

.

Rather than leave you upset, here is something on a lighter note, but it is a bit rude.
