The Bag Lady.

And he was correct, because yesterday ended in tears, with heavy rainfall.

Today however, is beginning very well.
I got up early this morning because it was too warm to lie in bed any longer, and found myself in a beautiful hazy morning full of sunshine.
Because it is a Sunday, there was nobody out on the streets and no cars rushing by, just peace and quiet….until I fed the birds.
.
Yesterday we treated ourselves to a Chinese meal of Singapore-style Chow Mien ….that’s the very hot one….and prawn crackers.
As we had plenty of the crackers left afterwards, I fed them to the birds for their breakfast.
This is their absolute favourite thing, and the noise and squabbling while they fight over them is awesome.
It is just a threshing, black and feathery show, of the utmost in greed.
Not unlike men in dinner suits, making the most of the period of a free bar, at some do or other.

We may have to go out today because I have to return a shoulder bag to T K Max.
Previously, you had three months to return an item for refund, but now they have cut that to 14 days, so you have to watch it if you are not getting out very often.
I was with Big H when I bought it and he kept saying that the one I finally chose was the best one, with the best leather etc. so I finally picked it.
He was correct about the quality but unfortunately it is not really big enough for my taste and it is definitely too boring because it is some kind of dull unpolished leather.
I actually prefer something a lot more ‘blingy’.
To me it is just a forgettable and dull sort of item.
Obviously ‘good taste’ is not part of my make-up, I prefer my own taste.

Having said that, it was yet another excellent bargain, as so many of their things are if you have the patience to really root about.
Made by Osprey London, and reduced from an original RRP of £225 down to a much more acceptable £49.99!
With all of the proper labels etc., and just the same bags that I was looking at in a big department store a few months ago.

Unlike a lot of women, I am not really in to possessing lots of designer bags.
I only ever have one, and I like it to be black, leather, expensive and large enough to put some small items of shopping in.
The most favourite one so far was a YSL one, from TKMax again, which was reduced to £69 from almost £400.
It was beautiful leather, with a large gold YSL logo on the front of it, and lots of sections inside.
I used it for about ten years and it always looked wonderful, and got admired, right up until the handles eventually started splitting.
Fabulous!

So, if we do manage to get this horrible new one returned, there will hopefully be a similarly special bag waiting for me today.

The church bells are pealing now, and everything is waking up, so I shall away now for a Warburton’s Potato Pancake and a huge cup of green tea.
After that, the world is my lobster!
