The Book Of Lost Things.

Hello,

.

I hope that you are well today.

I hope that you are going through one of life’s wonderful highs, and not having to cope with a  disheartening low period.

.

Life is funny isn’t it.

It always seems simpler when you are a child, because it is all very black and white from such a small viewpoint.

I used to think of many so questions in those very early years, and was always asking for the answers.

It used to drive my parents mad but I never considered that they did not know the answers….only that I must not be asking the questions clearly enough to get a proper reply.

.

Of course, I know now that there are no answers to the most important questions, and the only place to ponder upon them is in your own heart.

You can only be guided by who you become and the decisions you made to get to any point in a life.

.

I am far more sensible now and I accept that I know even less, for absolutely certain, than I ever did.

.

There is a book called ‘The Book Of Lost Things’ which I have just finished reading.

It is a strange and whimsical book which mixes many things such as hope and pain, loss and joy, with storytelling, myth, the power of dreams and imagination.

.

It was written by Irish-born John Connolly, who is now in his 40′s.

He is a well known thriller writer who seems always to end up on the Sunday Times bestseller list.

.

This book is very different.

It may not be everyone’s cup of tea but I really did enjoy it a lot.

You could do worse than try it….soon!

.

Have a literary day.
