The Clock Is Ticking.

Oh My….Oh My!
This morning I have woken up to find myself in the middle of a christmas card.
It is a complete whiteout.
There are inches of snow on everything, and the world has been transformed into a Narnia wonderland, even though I have been nowhere near a wardrobe!
Exquisite.
.
We are so lucky to spend time on this beautiful planet.
But unfortunately, I have sad news for all of you caring, responsible people out there who love this world of ours.
The South China Tiger is now officially extinct.
Gone forever, in the opinions of respected experts and also the august Zoological Society Of London.

Just to think that this particular tiger was the tiger from which all of the other tiger sub-species are descended.
Studies have been carried out to search for the South China tiger and there is absolutely no trace of that magnificent creature to be found any longer in the wild.

Although it was formerly thought that there were 100 of them still to be found in zoos, it has since been discovered, by experts doing genetic studies, that they are all actually cross-breeds.
Apparently they are diluted with Indochinese tiger genes.
.
This is a terrible thing that is happening because there are already three other tiger species which have become extinct within the past hundred years or so.
This means that we have lost the South China Tiger, the Java tiger. the Caspian and the Bali tigers.

It is horrifying that so many other species of creatures are also becoming extinct now.

Why are we so bloody selfish.
Biblically we are told we have been placed above all other creatures, but surely this means having care and responsibility too.
We are pushing animals into areas which are too small for them to survive in.
We destroy habitats because we can.
Nations lie and cheat to kill what remains of the whales.
Jungle is cut down for mining and for profit today.
The rights of indigenous peoples are eroded and trodden on.
Birds are disappearing ever more quickly.
We are poisoning the seas.
There is such cruelty to helpless animals of every kind.

Governments don’t bloody care, they just pretend to while business goes on as normal
.
If you ask me it would be doing the world a favour if the debacle does descend upon us all soon.
.
We are like children in a candy shop, we have no respect for anything and we should be bloody ashamed of ourselves.
.
So, go out there and enjoy a ‘South China tiger free’ day.
