Too Good To Miss.
Hey,
.
Happy Monday.
.
Apparently we are going to have another period of good weather this week, culminating in extremely high temperatures over the Easter weekend…sounds like a treat ….if it happens!
Of course that probably means the roads will be packed with cars containing older men in dutch-boy hats….all picking their collective noses.
.
This week does absolutely promise at least two good programmes on the television however, if you cannot watch them then the recorder will come in useful.
.
On Tuesday April 19th, there is a sequel on BBC3 at 9pm.
It is about Jono Lancaster, who suffers from Treacher-Collins Syndrome.
This is a genetic disorder which causes the bones of the face to develop incorrectly while still a foetus.
.
Unfortunately for this extremely likeable young man, his parents gave him up to be adopted shortly after he was born. at less than two days old.
.
During the last programme, Love Me Love My Face, Jono unsuccessfully tried to contact his birth mother , but found comfort in his adoptive mother and his beautiful girlfriend Laura.
He also appeared on morning television afterwards.
.
This new programme features Jono and Laura facing the decision about whether or not to have children, and being faced with a choice of options.
This is a hard choice as the condition could be passed on through the generations.
.
I shall definitely watch it.
.
The other good programme is on Good Friday April 22nd, on Film 4 at 1pm..
It is a documentary about the amazing British cinematographer Jack Cardiff and his work.
A man in the same class as the wonderful genius Lucien Ballard.
I shan’t miss that programme either.
Something good to look forward too as far as I am concerned.
Most excellent stuff.
.
See ya’
J,x.
