Because of the recent allegations of rigged voting having taken place during the December elections, to enable Vladimir Putin’s party to retain power, Pro-democracy organisers arranged a protest to take place in Moscow.

On Saturday, this was attended by thousands of angry people who gathered on Bolotnaya Square to make their feelings known.

However, some of these people soon became distracted by a UFO which was suddenly noticed to be hovering overhead.
This was recorded by an amateur photographer….watch on link.

Onlookers seemed to think that the object resembled a helicopter, but were adamant that it did not seem to have any rotor blades or engine noise.
