Water For Elephants Star Is Electrocuted.

I am sorry but this is not a happy day for me.

I was horrified to read reports that one of the stars of the new blockbuster film….Water For Elephants….was actually tortured with hand-held stun guns and bull hooks in order ensure a perfect acting performance.

No, I do not mean it happened to Reece Witherspoon or Robert Pattinson, it happened to the other one.
That was the elephant called Tai, who also starred in the film which was released on April 22nd this year.

Yes, it is happening to elephants again.

The indefatigable charity ADI ( Animal Defenders International), has now released footage of awful abuse, which is alleged to have been taken secretly at the training camp of animal trainers ‘Have Trunk Will Travel’….a cute name but harrowing cruelty.
These are the people who worked onset with ‘Water For Elephants’ film makers.

The people in charge at ‘Have Trunk Will Travel’ are alleged to be shown in the video giving animals electric shocks with the hand held devices, although they are said to have stated many times that no animals were ill-treated for work on the film.

ADI are said to have sent copies of the video to everyone concerned with making the film, and starring in it.
.
The video is hard to watch, with an elephant screaming as it is shocked into performing head stands.
.
Other animals are shown helpless, while they are subjected to the horror of having their tusks sawn off without any anaesthetic medical procedure being used at all.

A baby elephant is also badly treated.

Why does this keep happening again and again, and again.

Where is humanity and empathy and pity in these people!
