Wednesday Night Was A Bummer.
God Morning,
.
Another warm morning here with everything washed anew.
During the night we had endless rain and extremely strong winds that kept sounding like cracking whips….very Harry Potter effects!
That is definitely the best time to be warm and snug in your own bed, it highlights how lucky you are to be there feeling so comfortable.
.
Talking about warm beds.
Wednesday night was a bummer.
.
For a while now I have been fighting a flu, with dreadful coughing during periods of the night, and a chest growing more stiff and cardboardy every day.
Plus always waking up with a very sore throat, in desperate need of a big cuppa to soothe it.
As you know, chest problems are bad for me now.
.
Every night I have made sure to put on the electric blanket really early in the evening, to make sure that I am able to get into a toasty warm bed, with no chance of lying there shivering.
.
I did the same thing that night, because I felt really rough, with intermittent earache and a sore chest.
.
We had a new film to watch, so I was expecting to have my mind taken off my woes by settling down to put the light out and watch Leonardo De Caprio in ‘Inception’.
.
My goodness, what a weird bloody film.
After about 20 minutes of trying to get into it, I just gave up and went onto the computer for a while.
After that I got ready for an early night because Big H was still watching Leonardo in the dark, I knew that he had a ‘Match Of The Day’ that he wanted to watch later on.
.
Once I was washed, I made a cup of green tea, retrieved my latest Lee Child book, and leaped into bed.
Arghhhhh….it was bloody freezing on my side….the bloody thing had not done it’s work at all.
Big H’s side was totally toasty though.
.
I stuck my legs onto his side for a while, reading, before I just gave up and went to sleep.
.
Then I went and had a bloody nightmare didn’t I!
I guess some days are just meant to be rubbish.

By the way, the book is good.
The hero is the eminently fanciable Jack Reacher, 6’5″, 250 lbs and a 50″ chest.
.
He is a retired army officer who is unwilling or unable to settle down.
He has no possessions except for the clothes that he is standing up in-which he replaces every few days, pocket change, and a folding toothbrush….plus a bank account with money in it.
.
Our hero walks or hitches rides all over America, wherever his fancy takes him, and he has adventures.
He is a good man who lives under the radar.
.
The books are extremely popular.
Probably because he speaks to a hidden part in all of us!
