What A Catch. Toddler Falls From Fourth Floor Balcony.

Good morning,

.

Greetings from the hot and tropical UK today.

You don’t get many Easter weekends and other Bank Holidays here where it does not rain the whole time, but this definitely seems to be shaping to be one of them.

Wey hey!

.

It is now time for cricket , with genteel ‘Howzat’s’ echoing across village greens the length and breadth of England, accompanied by tea and tasty fresh scones.

Not to mention the top level cricket, beloved by so many.

.

However some fabulous catches are so much more important than others.

I was reading various news reports about a miraculous catch that a tourist made while holidaying in The Econo Lodge in Florida.

At about 11pm on Wednesday evening a 44 year old British visitor from Worksop, by the name of Helen Beard, noticed that a toddler was hanging from a 4th floor balcony at the hotel.

.

Showing admirably quick reactions, she quickly ran across and stood underneath the falling child to try and save her.

.

The child came tumbling down and even hit the third floor railings before reaching her would-be rescuer’s arms.

After being successfully caught, the little tot then bounced onto the ground before being retrieved again by her on-the-spot guardian angel.

.

After this adventure the baby was hurriedly driven to the nearby Arnold Palmer Hospital so that she could be examined for possible injuries caused by her accident.

.

It is reported that the toddler, variously reported as being between 12 and 18 months of age, had been staying at the hotel with her 20 year old mother Helena, from Longwood Florida, and some close friends who were staying in an adjoining room.

The mother had left the baby in the care of one of her friends, a lady called Dominique Holt.

When this lady went to use the bathroom, she thought her little charge must have crept out of the slightly open door and onto the balcony.

.

Happily, not only was the little girl totally unhurt, she was said to be in a very jolly frame of mind after her escapade, and her unbelievably lucky rescue.

.

Well done Helen Beard.

Good catch!

.

Police are reported as stating that criminal charges are not pending in this case.

.

Wow, remember that last time it happened!

J,
