Whoa…They Are Well Fit!

Good afternoon to you

.

I am afraid that everything is running somewhat late today.

.

Not only do we have the painters in again at the moment, we have also got a crew putting up a huge scaffold around the front of the house.

This is to allow access to the high roof, so that it can be checked and maintained before the real winter sneaks up on us.

This work will probably take two or three days..so it is all go.  Noisy outside and severe paint fumes and dust on the inside.

.

In addition to that I have just had to change over our bedroom for a couple of weeks or so, in order for a window sill to be replaced on the inside, of our proper bedroom, before the painters descend on that room.

.

I am sure that it will all look splendid… if the upheaval does not kill me first.

.

Big H is coping well, making morning and afternoon tea for the painters.

He is even going to the lengths of making regular visits to the Spar, in order to provide them with excellent quality biscuits.  No cheap Custard Creams or Rich Tea biscuits for his workmen.

I believe that today he is treating them to handmade Chocolate Macaroons.

Not handmade by me you understand, most probably handmade by a machine somewhere, but it sounds good on the box!

.

Needless to say we seem to have contented workmen.

If I ate rubbish, I would be very pleased to have such tea breaks too.

.

I never eat rubbish at all…rubbish being everything that I have decided is bad for me…especially sugar and additives.

Beer, however is very good for me, along with wine and Cava…and champagne if someone else is being kind to me.

It makes me cringe to see those Formula One drivers spraying fine champagne all over each other.

I could have a superb night in if they would just give it to me, instead of wasting it.

Although it does actually look good as a celebration of winning I suppose. (she said grudgingly!)

.

At the moment the scaffolders are getting quite exuberant, up on the scaffold outside our living room window.

One of them is standing on a scaffold bar, reaching up, and the other one has pulled his pants down.

Much laughing and shouting going on.

.

The abused scaffolder has had to unfasten his toolbelt and then cover up his grey Calvin Kleins again.

.

They are really fit looking, these workmen, so there are compensations for us older ladies who are on the inside looking out.

.

Hmmmmm….that has certainly cheered me up…and made Big H laugh.

.

Life is full of silver linings, just where you least expect them.

Excellent!

.

So, on with the internal rearrangements of our house…but in a much more cheerful frame of mind.

Have a good one.

.J,x,

.
