Whoaah, Feeling Tropical.

Hey, Hey,

.

Welcome to my land of sunshine upon this most wonderful Thursday morning.

I hope that you are as lucky!

.

I was right about yesterday, when I joked that it could possibly be tropical by teatime, ‘cos it actually happened that way.

After the dubious start, the sky cleared to a wonderful blue and the shone really shone down upon us.

.

By lunchtime Big H and I could not resist the call of the Tynemouth seaside….and the fish and chips….any longer.

We jumped into the car and took down the roof before setting off upon the open road, accompanied by Pearl Jam.

.

it was totally wonderful once we arrived there, with everyone wearing minimal clothing and BIG smiles.

The beach was totally beautiful.

.

After enjoying that for a time we went up to Marshall’s for fish and chips, it was as superb as usual.

A quick tip to the lovely waitresses and then back for another look at the very gentle sea, before setting off for home, feeling satisfyingly replete in every way.

.

It said on the news that we can expect similar weather of around 22C for the rest of the week at least….WeyHey!

.

I think we will be indulging ourselves with barbies in the garden, accompanied by copious amounts of ice cold beer.

It’s thirsty work but someone has to do it.

.

Hopefully everyone here will take advantage of the opportunity to soak up some Vitamin D after such an awful winter, and stop being so terrified of the sunshine.

.

People seem to have forgotten to enjoy like to the full now, what with food fears, alcohol fears, sunburn fears and all of the other things we are now afraid of.

It is not so much good being super-slim, super-fit and super healthy if doing so removes all of the fun in life.

You may live a few years longer but is that worth not ever having any fun during them.

.

I try to be sensible but I am not going to Nazi myself!

.

I intend to go for a walk soon with Big H, if he has the energy, and then get in to the garden and start enjoying the unexpected and most excellent weather.

.

What’s that you say?

You have to stay at work!

Hey, your time in the sun will come….just the same as mine has.

Have fun, the world is still your lobster!

J,
